ABC announced that it will air one-hour recap special for its hit drama Scandal, prior to the series' October 3rd2013 season 3 debut.

Titled Scandal: The Secret Is Out, the the special will begin that October 3 night at 8/7c, and will be followed by the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy at 9/8c, ending with the 3rd season debut of Scandal at 10/9c.

By the way, star Kerry Washington is nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the Lead Actress In A Drama Series category - her first Emmy nomination ever, and the first time a black actress has been nominated in that specific category (Lead Actress In A Drama Series) since the 1994-95 season, when Cicely Tyson was nominated for her work in the NBC legal drama series Sweet Justice.

Will Kerry win this year's trophy in that category? Find out when the Primetime Emmys air on Sunday, September 22, on CBS.

Until then, see what you can make of this new cast photo (courtesy of TVLine), and what it tells us about what might be coming next season. Fans of the series, especially, I'm sure will have some fun with this - who's looking at who, or at what, and why, and what it all might mean...

I am not a fan of the show, and Olivia Pope's role as the president's mistress, but I am happy to see black actors working on television. It's not something you often see on network television unless they are gay or criminals.

Athough black images has been formed as an less important character in histry for a long
time, nowadays America film and televison industry tend to pay more attention to the black roles.
Beyond the phenomenon is the changing ideology of the U.S.They gradually realize the fact that facing the various threat came from the outside of the nation, what they should do first is to deal with the domestic ethical problem.Only when the whole nation reach a common will can they be powerful enough to solve the question of the world.
For instance, the recent films showed a tendency that black roles are becoming noble, authority nerve and full of wisdom. And these feature has reached a peak in the fim in which blacks has been regared as God.That's a revolution,is that?
Glad to hear the voice that Kerry Washington is nominated for a Primetime Emmy. This demonstrated that black roles received more respect than the past. However, whether the national intergration is a real aspiration or just the illusion are still depends on time.
Anyway i'm looking forward to this drama very well~
