When Is Nick Fury Going To Get His Own Movie?

So I saw Thor last week and, of course, since the film is based on a Marvel comic book superhero, Sam Jackson does his usual (and no doubt very well paid) cameo bit as Nick Fury, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., in the film.

Though you'll have to wait until the after the final credits roll, to see him in a lame post-final credits scene (And aren't those post-final credit scenes always lame?).

Then I recalled that it was two years ago in 2009 that Marvel Studios announced that Jackson had a deal to appear in 9 Marvel movies as Fury, with "the possibility of Jackson starring in a stand-alone S.H.I.E.L.D. film."

O.K. so I'm waiting... I'm waiting....

Hmmmmmm. I don't see any Nick Fury films on the horizon, and I haven't, to date, heard about one that is currently being developed.

OH NO! You don't think that they're NOT going to give Fury his own movie, do you? They wouldn't do that to a brother... would they?????

I was just saying this last week. All these lame cameos and no word of his own movie.
