What a stupid comment! Nobody askes for lots of movies to be made, remakes included. I had no problem understanding her speak and from the sound of her singing, it gives me hope. Hopefully they do a good job but i liked all of her movies so I'm sure this won't be an exception

Sad that Whitney literally destroyed the voice that was a gift to the world. Drug use did a job on her. Could barely understand what she was saying sometimes. Hopefully she's back on track. Man... SMH.

Well, Whitney's always had that wispy, raspy speaking voice. The song clip, however, gives me hope. She sounded sooo pitiful and looked sooo skinny on that Oprah episode. This is definitely an improvement. If Chaka Khan could regain her voice, I believe Whitney can get hers back esp. if she's kicked both the drug and cigarette habit and takes her time getting completely well.

I'm glad Whitney's working in film again. I'm hoping she'll take another step further and also do the sequel to Waiting to Exhale--Getting to Happy.

Listening to TJMS, the entertainment reporter claimed a remake was in the works for Aaliyah to star but she died just weeks before filming. Whitney was supposedly attached to the film back then. News to me. Glad she's hung in there, happy, and back in singing form.

Found an article. E. Lynn Harris wrote the screenplay for that version. Now that really is interesting.

Dunno. I was never an Aaliyah fan but it's possible. After watching that train wreck of a sequel to Interview with a Vampire, I'm glad she wasn't around to do either role.

Interesting, but wasn't Aaliyah about to shoot "The Matrix" sequels before she died?
