Whoopi Goldberg is set to appear in three episodes of Fox hit show Glee in an extremely pivotal role that will decide the fate of Rachel and Kurt post-McKinley (fans of the show feel free to fill me in), according to TVLine.

Goldberg will play a theatrical guru and professor at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA) named Carmen Tibideaux. She travels to Ohio to conduct Kurt and Rachel's auditions, and ultimately decides the fate of these performers.

Goldberg's first appearance will be during the May 1st episode; the show's season finale is slated for May 22nd.

We last posted about Goldberg last week, when it was announced she is ready to helm documentary I Got Somethin' To Tell You, based on the life of stand-up comedy icon Moms Mabley; she's set to begin directing this week in Los Angeles.

They put out a breakdown basically describing a Debbie Allen from Fame-ish type character, so I'm assuming this is that role. She's probably the head of the performing arts college/repertory/whatever that they're both jockeying to get into.
