It's been 15 years since Will Smith starred as the quirky West Philadelphia teenager sent to live with his wealthy relatives in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
But rumors have surfaced that Smith is considering a return to the sitcom role that made him famous.
According to Showbizspy, a source close to Smith says,
“Will has fond memories of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and is grateful for the big break the show gave him. He’s fascinated with the idea of what the character would be doing now. He might be married with kids or he may be back in Philadelphia down on his luck.
There's also talk of a feature film: "Will is interested in returning to the character and getting the old cast together either for a movie or another TV project.”
This isn't the first time there's been talk of a Fresh Prince reunion. Just last month, there was speculation when cast member Tatyana Ali made remarks about wanting to reunite with the cast.
And considering Hollywood's ongoing fascination with remaking old classics, a revival of a hit sitcom seems entirely possible.
Personally, I'd want to know what Carlton is up to.
