And the beat goes on...
From Deadline, the vitals: "Screenwriter John Hlavin has been set by Sony Pictures to write Risk, a contemporary global action thriller based on the venerable board game. Pic is a co-production between Hasbro Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment..."
For those who aren't aware, Overbrook Entertainment is Will Smith's production company. What that means in this particular case is anyone's guess. Will he, or any member of the Smith Family Empire be starring in it as well? *Shrug*
We'll just have to wait and see. Hasbro boardgames already being made into films include Battleship and Stretch Armstrong.

This is so ignorant. I hate how many movies being put into production that are just lazy excuses to make money. Strug.

Risk?? Why make a film based on a board game?? Will Smith needs to work with writers and come up with some fresh stories. This is just as bad as "Battleship" (2012) that will be coming out next year.
