Nadia Denton, film programmer and the author of the book "The Black British Filmmaker’s Guide of Success" has a new title coming out this fall.
The author says that "The Nigerian Filmmakers’s Guide to Success: Beyond Nollywood" is designed to be a reference manual that will pull together industry guidance and best practices for African filmmakers.
To celebrate and announce the release of her new book, Ms. Denton, along with several prominent Nigerian filmmakers, will have a public discussion about the industry and key issues at the British Film Institute, Southbank in London on Saturday, September 20th starting at 11AM.
The event is part of the "Beyond Nollywood" program at BFI, which runs in September, and is free to any "Beyond Nollywood" ticket holder. The series is part of the wide ranging African Odysseys showcase of programs and events at BFI that has been going on since February, screening the works of new and important filmmakers that confront the issues of the past, via world-class, 21st-century cinema.

And Denton's "The Black British Filmmaker’s Guide of Success" (an important and necessary book, which, take my word for it, is not just for Black British filmmakers only) is available still as a FREE download on Ms. Denton’s website HERE.
