Well, we all have to leave sometime... flap our wings and fly away.

Vulture is reporting that Wyatt Cenac is leaving Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, with his very last appearance on the show set for Thursday, December 13

No reasons are given (not yet anyway), other than the suggests that Cenac's blossoming stand-up comedy career might have been of some influence on the decision.

Cenac joined The Daily Show as a correspondent and writer in 2008. Over the last 4 years, he's also found time to do some film acting, co-starring in Barry Jenkins' Medicine for Melancholy, for example.

In 2013, he'll co-star in a feature dramedy titled Growing Up (and Other Lies), alongside Adam Brody. Written and directed by Jacobs and Darren Grodsky, the film centers on a 30 year old man who decides to leave New York City and move back home to the Midwest, where he will take over the family business. Before he does so, however, he'll have to keep a promise he made to his 3 best friends to walk the entire length of Manhattan in one day.

In addition to that, Cenac and producer Marianne Ways, in conjunction with Littlefield, recently announced the start of new weekly comedy showcase titled Night Train With Wyatt Cenac, hosted by the Brooklyn-based Cenac himself, and will feature comedy from the best local and international stand up comedians, new and established musicians, local celebrities, and more.

Tickets and other relevant info can be found HERE.

I expect a multi-platform career for Mr Cenac, looking ahead - a combo of TV, film, stand-up and more.

The question now is, who'll replace him on The Daily Show, if he is replaced?

Because they barely have a "two-minority maximum" on most of these variety typed comedic shows(only Kenan and Jay on SNL), Jessica Williams, who was the latest addition will fill the quota, being both a woman and African American.

I hope he takes a week off everything he is doing after his last appearance because he has been looking tired.
