Wyatt Cenac, who, along with Donald Glover, is currently at the forefront of the latest trend in comedy that I like to call "berd"  (i.e. black nerd) comedy (Personally I'll stick with Rudy Ray Moore with his pimps and ho's) has a deal to host, write and produce a new show for Comedy Central.

The new show with Cenac, who's been writing and regularly appearing on Comedy Central's The Daily Show since 2008, and of course also appeared in Barry Jenkins' 2008 film Medicine for Melacholy, is reportedly a sketch narrative show spoofing a 1980's public affairs program.

No word yet as to when the show will premiere on the network.

Why does everyone here seem to have an issue with "nerdy" black comedians?

probably because of some underlying feeling that they're acting "too white" or something. they'll never admit that though.
