Some quickie TV casting news...

Yaya DaCosta has joined the cast of a Roland Emmerich drama pilot for ABC, written by Emmerich and Harold Kloser and to be directed by Emmerich, which centers on "an astrophysics grad student in NYC who learns that he is the chosen one to destroy the forces of evil."

Lemme guess... he's white. The "chosen ones" are always white.

The One will be played by Max Thierot... heading over to Google to search for his name to verify that he's white and... yup, he's white :)

Ms DaCosta will play a character named Amy, described as "a member of a very special Council who befriends Carter, well aware of his unique calling."

Yaya will likely next be seen in Andrew Dosunmu's sophomore feature film Ma'George, currently in post-production.

Hmm, that's interesting. Wonder if that means the character that's in "The Council" that was actually written as Black has to go away? You know there's a quota LOL Either way, the pilot blows. Typical Emmerich.
