"Yelling To the Sky" At 2011 Black Harvest Film Fest; As For "The Interrupters" - Not So Fast

Two more 2011 Black Harvest Film Festival additions were officially announced today - writer and director Victoria Mahoney's Yelling to the Sky, which made it's premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, with Zoe Kravtiz and Gabourey Sidibe starring; and an offbeat music documentary The Upsetter: The Life and Times of Lee "Scratch" Perry.

Both have been covered extensively here on S & A.

However, we also have to report that our previous announcement about Steve James' documentary, The Interrupters, was perhaps a bit too hasty. Our earlier report that the film would play at this year's Black Harvest Festival was in error; no agreement for the film to be shown at the festival has been made as of this time.
