Here's a clip from the upcoming drama The Words, which stars Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Dennis Quaid, Olivia Wilde, and Jeremy Irons.

Helmed by Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthan, who wrote the screenplay for Tron: Legacy, The Words' synopsis reads, "an aspiring writer (Bradley Cooper) claims another man's long lost work as his own, the price he must pay is more than he could have ever imagined."

Zoe Saldana plays the wife of Bradley Cooper's character.

The Words premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and will be released in theaters on September 21, via CBS Films.

She's not even really black. I wish they put a real black woman like gabby union

And what does "really black" mean??? Such a dumb, divisive statement...

  • Justsaying | August 9, 2012 10:59 AM

I think Veronica should have said, I wish they put an African-American like Gabby Union instead of "real black woman."

90% of people born on or descendants of the island Hispaniola are BLACK! They may have more milk in their coffee than Haitians but it doesn't mean it isn't coffee. Some Dominicans perpetuate this myth enabled by Trujillo aka El Jefe who did a bit of ethnic cleansing in the 30's of dark Dominicans and Haitians slaughtering 30,000 people!!! LAter orders the population to lighten up the race. Saldana is Black.

Who are you to say who is 'black' and who isn't. I suppose you are waiting for the first 'real' African American president as well? lol

  • Justsaying | August 9, 2012 10:16 AM

She identifies as a Black woman. She is Puertorican and Dominican.

Africans were sent to the Dominican Republic so you need to do you homework. She is black, identifies herself as such. Educate yourself and stop watching reality tv.
