Good news, I've just heard that Brokeback has received its censor
certificate in India and has just got 40 seconds cut..... of the
heterosexual sex scenes!!!! (And yes, the kiss between Ennis and Jack
stays).

This confirms what lots of people have said, that the film shows far
more explicit straight sex than gay sex, but it also throws up the
irresistable picture of the Indian censors going through the rules
book saying, "hmmmm, ok, it says no breasts, that has to go, and no
explicit male-female intimacy, that has to go.... male-male? Nothing
in the book about that, it can stay."

Film opens March 10.
