Normally I love the Fine Bros. videos, and I showcased their previous episode of "Harry Potter and the Rejected Scenes." But this second installment is not their best work at all. But I'm posting it to criticize it. It's well-made, with animated "Harry Potter" action figures, but it's not very clever. How many parodies of the franchise have we already seen and must we continue to see that mock the pedophilia implications? Or, the sexual subtext in general? Just in recent months we've seen the X-rated recut of "Harry Potter" and another mash-up of the series' awkward, potentially sex-related scenes. I'm growing very bored of the trend.
This one shows us Harry obliviously being wooed by Hagrid, Sirius, Professor Lupin and Professor Dumbledore, while Hermione and Ron attempt to explain what's really going on. And in the uncensored version, Professor Snape bends Draco Malfoy over his desk. I do at least appreciate the jab at the inconsistent logic of animagi transformations and the joke about the silly Lupin toy, but otherwise the humor here is pretty stale.
If you're up for more of this type of "Harry Potter" parody, watch the video after the jump.
