Clap On!

This was passed along by a friend. Send this to everyone in the room and have everybody play the video simultaneously and experience an auditory explosion!

Thanks, Kate.

Nike and Dogfights! 2 Great Tastes That Taste Great Together!

I HATE them both, but here they are in the most entertaining package I can wrap them in. Don't be a hater.

Check out the first couple of shots after the studio. That's my guys takin' one for the team in the rain. Dedication at its best. They show up BIG every day.

...and WHO let the dogs out?

Speechless Blog Chain...

Karina Longworth, author of the Spout blog and New TeeVee's, feature series, "Karina's Capsule", had this great analysis of the "Speechless" videos being hosted on Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood blog over the Thanksgiving weekend. "[...] Speechless, a series of short videos starring A-list talent that was produced and conceived by B-list talent and designed to promote United Hollywood’s position by dramatizing the impact of the writers’ strike on the art form."

The "Speechless" videos achieve many things on many levels and are definitely worth a quick look. The series has an exclusive deal with Deadline Hollywood, so I couldn't embed the videos. Instead, I decided to do my part of the blog chain and provide links to all them below:

#1: Holly Hunter

#2: R Benjamin/P Prentiss

#3: Sean Penn

#4: Jeff Garlin

#5: 'Ugly Betty' Cast

#6: David Schwimmer and Kate Beckinsale

#7: Andre 3000

#8: Bill Macy/Felicity Huffman

#9: Harvey Keitel

#10: Nicolette Sheridan/Eva Longoria

#11: Laura Linney

Special ReelerTV and a view of Germany

Somehow amongst all the fury of Luci getting a rough cut of her film together and her heading to Germany whilst I crank on my 5th week of 10 - 12 hour days, we were able to team up to produce a special fall episode of ReelerTV.

Check it out. The Reeler feels fall in New York. Tamara Jenkins, director of The Savages talks about her bulletproof cast and Karen Wilson reviews Margot at the Wedding and Redacted.

Showing all the signs of relaxation, Luci sent a pic from Sylt, a beach in the North of Germany. Chilly, but beautiful.

Egg Puppets with Mouths - or - What Happens When Imagination and Talent Collide

Gotta brag about this one.

All mouths provided by the Wallstrip crew: Sunny was done by the set builder and mouth animator, Sean Smith, the always talented Lindsay Campbell played Momma, Papa is Roman "The Slavic Bod" Bodnar, Juevos was bravely played by our resident directing, shooting and editing maestro, Appolos Laurient and last but not least, Poachy was voiced by our office manager and former theater actor, Amanda Elend. The Eggmann's was penned by Brent Rose (non WGA) and costumes designed by our talented mistress of all things wardrobe, Jennifer. I produced and directed.

Hope you like it!

Here's another highlight of my week that seemed to miss the indieWIRE daily. Lindsay explores a classic in this homage to Audrey Hepburn. What a week.

Tune in Friday for our special interview with Etsy's founder and CEO, Rob Kalin. It's crafty!

Good Hard Working Docs

So Luci has reached the next step of editing her doc "All's Well and Fair." She's assembled a tight rough cut and has flown to Germany for an editing retreat to tighten it even more.

She's looking for music. Check out her BLOG HERE to find out more of what she wants and how to get it to her.

We've picture lock "All God's Children" yet again, but this time it's permanent. We worked in some additional Super 8 footage, restructured the ending and handed it over to our sound designer extraordinaire, Tom Lino.

The end is in sight!

Audrey Hepburn is Alive!

I always thought Lindsay had a certain Audrey quality to her. This proves it in spades. That's Judd Frazier in the George Peppard role. What a modern retro couple they are.

We tried to match the film shot-per-shot. Since the show is short, we combined several scenes and/or shots, making it a homage mash-up if you will. Enjoy!

Here's to You Chris Farley. Cheers!

I directed this Wallstrip homage to a favorite SNL skit, "Bill Swerski's Superfans." This was green screen madness at it's best. Oh yeah, and beer, beer, beer. Is it obvious I'm having a blast?

From left to right, there's Jason Hall, Roman Bodnar (our post-production supervisor), John Behlmann (who also wrote this episode) and Sean Tice our Web Producer on the far right.

Suicide Prevention - Web 2.0 Style!

Incredibly enough, a New Yorker in Orlando saw a friend's suicide video "note" posted to YouTube. He then called the police and they got in touch with the Australian police in Melbourne where they busted down the door, took the guy to the hospital and saved his life! The power of the World Wide Web.

READ MORE or WATCH the guy's video. Be warned: he's pretty crazy.
