The 2015 COLCOA dates have been announced with a major innovation: an additional day of free screenings will close the festival. COLCOA “A Week of French Film Premieres in Hollywood” will open on Monday April 20, 2015 and close on Tuesday April 28 In order to satisfy its growing audience, an extra day dedicated to six free reruns, including awarded films, has been added.
Festival audience numbers reached 20,000 in 2014.
Competition for the COLCOA Awards will close on Monday April 27, instead of Sunday. Consequently, more new films will be selected next year.
Now a nine day event, COLCOA has become a major film festival in Los Angeles and the biggest showcase dedicated to French films in the U.S. The 19th edition of COLCOA will take place at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. COLCOA is presented by the Franco-American Cultural Fund – a unique collaboration of the DGA, MPAA, SACEM, WGA West, with the support of the Film & TV Office of the French Consulate of Los Angeles, l’ARP, the CNC and Unifrance.
