Who makes exciting stories work on screen? Who is the person behind touching pictures, amazing film scenes and breathtaking moments in cinema? Ten directors from across Europe will be spotlighted as creative heads of passionate cinema in the sidebar "Variety's Ten Euro Directors to Watch" at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF, July 1 - 9, 2011). At the invitation of European Film Promotion (EFP) and KVIFF, they will present their films in this most attractive sidebar from July 3 - 4. The talent was selected by critics from the international trade magazine Variety. Most of them are first- and second-time directors and prize-winners from the international film festival circuit. The MEDIA Programme of the EU and the ten participating EFP member organisations are supporting the event. This year again sees HBO in the Czech Republic serving as the main sponsor. The directors below will be presenting their films at "Variety's Ten Euro Directors to Watch"

Sydney,
Whatever happened to your list of distributors and deals from Canness? It seems to have disappeared, and it only went from A to I. Would be great for filmmakers to know what sold and to whom. It would be a really useful guide in determining place to sell our films. Thanks for this continuing column of great information and insights.

Hi Ron,
You can find them by searching for Rights Round Up Cannes 2011 by International Sales Agent. So many sales were made that I have had to divide it into about 6 segments to get them on the blog! Also U.S. Distributors A-Z is searchable. Thanks!!
