Presented by The Humane Society of the United States, the ACE Documentary Film Grant seeks to inspire filmmakers to portray animal issues in their films in creative and compelling ways. The First-Place Winner of the ACE Grant receives a $20,000 USD cash prize that can be applied to a documentary in any stage of development or production, or in need of finishing funds. Second- and Third-Place winners receive $2,500 and $1,000 awards, respectively.
