It is our pleasure to spread the word about his newest endeavor, the launch of Blumhouse International, a new division to oversee international sales of the company's movies. Blumhouse International will meet with international distributors on two initial projects in Cannes. Sinister 2 is a sequel to Blumhouse's 2012 $3 million micro-budget hit which grossed over $87 million worldwide. Stretch is a comedy thriller to be directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Blum and the director. Tracy Falco will serve as executive producer and Leon Corcos as co-producer. Both projects will begin production later in 2013.
The division will handle sales of films outside Blumhouse's first-look deal with Universal. The launch of BHI builds upon Blumhouse's international success. Six of the company's recent films grossed a combined $450 million foreign on combined budgets of under $25 million.
