With LALIFF (Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival) coming up in July, a look at what's happening with Latino films worldwide is due. I will put together and moderate a panel on New Modes and Old of Distribution which will target Latino films. Meanwhile, Rotterdam FF's Hubert Bals Fund has financed 8 new Latino films and a call for entries for Films in Progress, the twice-yearly rendezvous at the San Sebastian Festival and the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse, has opened the registration period for its coming edition and will close June 30! Films in Progress 20 will take place in San Sebastian on 20 and 21 September 2011 within the framework of the Festival’s 59th edition.
Final Deadline for LALIFF was May 27, 2011. I doubt that submissions are still being taken...but if so, click here.
