Wild Bunch is: Dedicated to the nurture, development and creative exploitation of the radical, the innovative, the visionary, the truly extraordinary, in cinema world wide. Our only criteria are excellence, singularity of vision and that each new project offers a new challenge, a new development. Nine films in the festival: Exodus: Burnt By The Sun 2 by Nikita Mikhalkov in Competition, Of Gods and Men in Competition, Somos Lo Que Hay (We Are What We Are) by Jorge Michel Grau in Directors Fortnight, Film Socialism by Jean Luc Godard in Un Certain Regard, Kaboom by Gregg Araki in Out of Competition Midnight Screenings, Draquila - L'Italia Che Trema in Out of Competition Special Screenings, Sound of Noise in Critics Week, Irish Route by Ken Loach in Competition, Rebecca H (Return to the Dogs) by Lodge Kerrigan, and The Two Escobars Out of Competition Cinema de la Plage selection.

Wild Bunch was originally a division of StudioCanal set up to create more off beat features than its parent company. It broke from the company and has always maintained its "wild side", choosing to set up shop outside of markets such as the AFM (they have an office near the 3rd Street Promenade) or the EFM (their office is outside of the Martin Gropius Bau and not in any hotel with other companies). Their international sales activities today are are part of Wild Bunch SA, an independent Paris-based European film distribution and production services company that manages a library of more than 1,150 titles. Wild Bunch developed a pan-European distribution network and is direct distributor to all media in France (Wild Bunch Distribution and Wild Side), in Italy (BIM Distribuzione), in Germany (Wild Bunch Germany/Central Film Verleih) and in Benelux (Wild Bunch Benelux). Film distribution lying at the heart of its activities, Wild Bunch has positioned itself in the revolutionary market of electronic distribution of films over new media distribution platforms via its French VOD/SVOD platform, Filmo TV.

The company has produced films such as Land of the Dead ( Land of the Dead ), Southland Tales and Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? ( Where is Osama bin Laden in the world? ) . They also produced Cassandra's Dream ( Cassandra's Dream ), Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Whatever Works of Woody Allen , and the diptych Che in Steven Soderbergh . They have won worldwide rights to the productions of Studio Ghibli . Note also The Last Days of the World , released 2009 in France , filmed by the Larrieu brothers.
