A Conversation with Anne Carey: Christina Piovesan (Whistleblower/Amreeka) hosts a conversation with one of the leading indie producers in the US. Anne Carey began her career with the William Morris Agency, went on to work with Good Machine for nearly a decade, and in 2002 co-founded This is That Productions, with producers Ted Hope and Anthony Bregman. Credits include: The American, Adventureland, The Savages, Towelhead, The Ex, and Friends With Money. In 2007, Carey and her business partners were included in Hollywood Reporter’s Indie Power 50. Recently moving beyond This is That, Anne joined forces with Mindy Goldberg and Epoch Films (Junebug, Gigantic) to help expand the company's film and television slate.
Michel Reilhac, Executive Director of Arte France Cinema and Director of Film Acquisitions for ARTE France, is a true visionary in the global screen industry. His keynote, Firm Steps Into Uncertainty, will address the risks that must be taken in a very fast and constantly changing media landscape. How do you make choices and decisions when the “medium is no longer the message” but the “medium is the mess …?”
