SXSW Party in L.A.

Perhaps it was because it was the first night of AFM, or perhaps it was a prequel to the first night of AFI Fest, but whatever the occasion, it was a great party Wednesday night at The Cat and Fiddle on Sunset Boulevard given by SXSW Film Conference and Festival. Janet Pierson was the regal hostess and everyone seemed to have a film in post. From Janet Grillo with Fly Away, Seth Nagel, Stephen Israel with three films in post no less: I Am Ben, Audrey and The Secret Lives of Dorks, Matt Wahl to Sam Kitt whose Cherry is screening at AFM and being sold by Unified. Many others were there including Chris and Lilyan Sievernich, Dana Harris and hubby Doug, Adam Chapnick of Distribber, Orly Ravid of The Film Collaborative, Jon Reiss author of Think Outside the Box and many more, sitting outside in the patio, sharing stories, mellow, relaxed and all having a great time. If this is what SXSW is like, then no wonder it has grown so popular.Janet Grillo and Sam Kitt
