Guadalajara Film Festival (FICG) and European Film Promotion (EFP) are working together in several interconnected ways. This one focuses on strengthening the presence of European films in Latin America. EFP's Film Sales Support (FSS) helps support promotional campaigns of 10 European films originating from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Spain, Poland and Greece which are showing at the 26th Guadalajara International Film Festival, now taking place (25 March to 1 April).

I wrote about upcoming producer Sean McConville whom I met on line for hamburgers at AFM. He has been chosen by the Berlinale's Talent Campus as a Talent this year and has also written Five Reasons Filmmakers Need to be Entrepreneurs for Raindance. The article sums up the issues filmmakers today must face and sums up the gist of the course I have just completed teaching at UCLA Extension. Though it is aimed at Canadian filmmakers where Sean now resides, it is definitely worth a read by all producers and all wanna-be producers. Thanks Sean and see you in Berlin!
