Though the market seemed slow on the surface, the usual sales got made: the larger companies selling almost out, the smaller ones busily speaking with others, selling here and there, worrying if this would get better, worse, or stay the same

I wrote about upcoming producer Sean McConville whom I met on line for hamburgers at AFM. He has been chosen by the Berlinale's Talent Campus as a Talent this year and has also written Five Reasons Filmmakers Need to be Entrepreneurs for Raindance. The article sums up the issues filmmakers today must face and sums up the gist of the course I have just completed teaching at UCLA Extension. Though it is aimed at Canadian filmmakers where Sean now resides, it is definitely worth a read by all producers and all wanna-be producers. Thanks Sean and see you in Berlin!
