Hanway has licensed Nowhere Boy to Gaga for Japan. It presold David Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method to Lionsgate for U.K. Universal Pictures International (UPI) for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and South Africa. Picture will start in May. Mars picked it up for France, E1 for Canada, Transmission for Australia and Cineartfor Benelux. It is based on the true-life turbulent relationships between fledgling psychiatrist Carl Jung, his mentor Sigmund Freud and his patient Sabina and is adapted by screenwriter Christopher Hampton from his play The Talking Cure. Focus has North American rights. U.K. is still available. Made in Dagenham went to Ascot Elite for Switzerland, Lucky Red for Italy and Sony Pictures Classics for North America in pre-Cannes deals. Distributors also on board include ARP Sélection for France, Cineart for Benelux, Paramount Pictures International for U.K., Australia/ N.Z., Ascot Elite for Switzerland (http://www.ascot-eFlite.ch). Thirteen Assassins went to Cineart for Benelux. Mugabe and the White African sold to France's Pretty Pictures and to First Fun Features for U.S. for a July 23 theatrical launch.
