Billed as "Big Brother meets Ghostbusters" online reality show LiveSciFi scored a hit this weekend as the relaunch of their cult streaming ghost hunting show got over 5 million views, going into their final nights on location at the haunted "Sallie House" of Atchison, KS. Originally to last 72 hours, the response to the show has been so great the team decided to extend it to 96 hours to give the viewers just a bit more paranormal investigation to ponder until the next live show scheduled for late May on livescifi.tv

Independent Film Project (IFP) and the Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced the new collaboration that includes the relocation of IFP’s signature program, Independent Film Week, to The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Elinor Bunin Monroe Film Center and to provide joint programming during the New York Film Festival. Both partners will present a daylong event in October that will showcase emerging artists engaging with industry powers.

Ellen Pittleman is a veteran studio executive based in Los Angeles. While at Paramount Pictures, she was SVP, International Co-Productions and Worldwide Acquisitions for Paramount Pictures. Along with acquiring for both U.S. and international territories, she created the International Co-Production business for the studio which was responsible for local language production. She also launched the DVD Premiere group there, with films including Jonathan Demme’s Neil Young: Heart of Gold and the sequel to the $100MM+ Save the Last Dance. Now as president and founder of Hybrid Entertainment, she consults on strategic planning, deal negotiation, acquisitions, film library valuation and feature development with clients from Rio to London to Beijing. She published a review of the 2009 Worldwide Box Office performance on a territory-by-territory basis for N.Y. Times' international database, Screenline.
