The 35th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema will be held in Havana from the 3rd to December 13, 2013 and calls, like every year, the competition in Fiction, Documentary and Animation, debuts, unpublished scripts and posters. Also, its programming comprises a large and representative sample of contemporary cinema from Latin America and around the world as well as meetings and seminars on various topics of cultural interest, especially cinema.

The Industry Sector , an initiative that was born on the 30th anniversary of the event, or spawn for the sixth time, a program of activities aimed at professionals in the development, production and distribution of film, which includes workshops, seminars and projects ..

Besides Coral Awards, awards official Festival of Havana, a group of Cuban and foreign institutions deliver Collateral Awards, as well as several international awards granting institutions such as the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and the World Catholic Association for Communication (SIGNIS). The new south TV and Films Amazonia also add, the same way as in previous editions, with their respective awards distribution.

The 30 August 2013 Registration period closes works at the 35th edition of the Havana event, an event that aims to identify and disseminate films contribute, from its significance and artistic values and enrichment reaffirmation of the Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity.

Abierta la Convocatoria a la 35 Edición del Festival de Cine de La Habana

El 35. Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericanotendrá lugar en La Habana, del 3 al 13 de diciembre de 2013 y convoca, como cada año, a los Concursos de Ficción, Documental y Animación, Operas Primas, Guiones Inéditos y Carteles. Asimismo, su programación comprende una amplia y representativa muestra de cine contemporáneo proveniente de Latinoamérica y el resto del mundo, así como encuentros y seminarios sobre diversos temas de interés cultural y, en especial, cinematográfico.

El Sector Industria, iniciativa que nació en el 30 aniversario del certamen, ofrece por sexta ocasión, un programa de actividades destinado a los profesionales de la realización, producción y distribución cinematográfica, que comprende talleres, seminarios y encuentros de proyectos..

Además de los Premios Coral, galardones oficiales del Festival de La Habana, un grupo de instituciones cubanas y extranjeras entregarán los Premios Colaterales, así como varios premios internacionales que otorgan instituciones como la Federación Internacional de Críticos de Cine (FIPRESCI)y la Asociación Católica Mundial para la Comunicación (SIGNIS). La Nueva Televisión del SUR y Amazonia Films también se suman, de igual forma que en las últimas ediciones, con sus respectivos premios de distribución.

El 30 de agosto de 2013 cierra el período de inscripción de las obras a la 35 Edición del certamen habanero, un evento que se propone reconocer y difundir las obras cinematográficas que contribuyan, a partir de su significación y de sus valores artísticos, al enriquecimiento y reafirmación de la identidad cultural latinoamericana y caribeña.
