Most of us said it couldn't be, but with a Critics Choice Award nomination and SAG Award nomination, it looks like Melissa McCarthy is a very likely Oscar nominee come January for her work in "Bridesmaids." Not to say its undeserving (I'm all for it), or more importantly that its just for defecating in a sink, but it would certainly be an Oscar first.
