Introducing "Lost Boy" Bryce J. Renninger
At Indiewire, I'm the resident gay geek -- tech articles, queer cinema, documentaries, and filmmaking are my informal beats. I'm also getting my Ph.D. at Rutgers where I'm working on my dissertation, looking at ways that people use the Internet and other digital media to facilitate alternatives to the marriage ideal. [[Still working on my elevator pitch. But I'm always looking for people to interview.]]
While I publish longer diatribes on my personal blog from time to time, I'm ready to share petty amusements and flash opinions here on my pal Peter's blog.
I'm especially eager to start giving more attention to the films and filmmakers I've supported for the past three years as a programmer at NewFest: New York's LGBT Film Festival. While I'm no longer at NewFest, I'm still committed to these films and their makers, so don't be surprised if I start gushing about the films that show up at the queer fests this summer here.
