Its still premiering in SXSW, but Jodie Foster's Mel Gibson opus "The Beaver" won't hit the rest of America until May. Maybe this suggests they have higher hopes for the film? Giving it more room to breathe? Or maybe it doesn't mean anything. From the press release:

Please note the following change to Summit Entertainment’s release schedule for THE BEAVER.

The Beaver - 5/6/11 Limited, 5/20/11 Expansion
Director: Jodie Foster
Cast: Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Anton Yelchin & Jennifer Lawrence
Synopsis: Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster directs and co-stars with two-time Academy Award® winner Mel Gibson in THE BEAVER – an emotional story about a man on a journey to re-discover his family and re-start his life.

This does not necessarily mean Summit has higher hopes for the film, and could even imply they have less confidence in it. This release date move is more than likely a product of Summit realizing that the platform trajectory previously laid out was set against a crowded field of competitors that would have made it all the more difficult to get The Beaver off the ground. Had Summit stuck to a 3/25 release and subsequent rollout in April, the film would have been in direct competition with Win/Win, Jane Eyre, Miral, Potiche, and In A Better World. The release date change is an opportunistic move to reposition the film against a less crowded field of play in May. It also conveniently spaces things out for Summit, thereby allowing them to focus more directly on their 4/1 wide release of Source Code and not have to juggle a platform film simultaneously.
