After sixteen days that included a Craigslist scam that amounted in a $800 loss, a week at a hotel care of a selfless stranger, four nights in the rectory of an Anglican church, watching Canada beat the US with 200 other Canadians in West Hollywood, watching the Academy Awards at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, winning $450 from gambling on said Academy Awards, at least a dozen Baja Fresh burritos, and just as many stories not fit for this blog, I am finally leaving Los Angeles. I'll admit I'm not exactly upset about that fact (I'm doubtful I have it in me to ever be an LA convert), but it was in the very least a very adventurous stint here, and one I would never take back, Craigslist scam and all. And now I head to Austin, for leg three of this late winter tour of America, and my very first SXSW, which I'm truly excited about (festivals are always best the first time around, I've never experienced otherwise). But a quick thanks to everyone in LA that was so helpful during the past two or so weeks, and a hello to anyone that might happen to be in Austin right now (I'm arriving late and poorly organized, so let me know if you're around). I'd update the Hobo Tour map but I'm so behind on it I'm not sure if I even could.
