You'd be forgiven for not knowing that Sally Field had a gay son - she's never spoken about it before, presumably because it's none of anyone's business.
But this week, with her son's blessing, she made it political in a powerful speech while accepting the Human Rights Campaign's Ally for Equality Award in Washington, D.C. For anyone with even a passing interest in gay or human rights, this is well worth a watch. And though her speech came from the heart, Field is in full command of her two-time-Oscar-winning acting skills when she drops the aforementioned f-bomb that brings down the house, and may even provoke a tear or two:
