Here's the aesthetically rich, narratively sparse trailer for Xavier Dolan's "Les Amours Imaginaries," a film I've probably overposted about by now but can't really help myself:

The trailer's look is very Almodovarian, but there's really not enough here to make any judgement as to where Dolan's taking us. Though its use of music - Sheila's "Bang Bang" - does make me immediately think of another filmmaker... Whether deliberate or not, the use of the song brought my mind straight to a memorable scene from Francois Ozon's ridiculously sexy short film "A Summer Dress," which I have to admit I caught randomly on Canadian television when I was maybe 13 or 14 (thank you Showcase Revue for my joint cinematic and sexual education) and then subsequently was mildly obsessed with (and I know I'm not alone). And low and behold, that scene is on YouTube! So basically.. this entire post is an excuse to share my find on here, and give all you male-oriented dirty minds a mid-weekend kick:

I am really unsure about this film. It could be brilliant; it could be awful - I can't tell. Sexy love triangle films often have zero emotional truth. We'll see...

I saw a reference to Mysterious skin in Les Amours Imaginaires' trailer.
