"You're Not Afraid Of The Dark, Are You?": New Teaser Teaser For 'Riddick' Arrives

"Whatever happens no matter what they tell you. don't let 'em take these chains off me," thespian Vin Diesel intones dramatically. Yes, you guessed it, it's the new teaser trailer for "Riddick," the fourth film in the Riddick series after "Pitch Black," "The Chronicles of Riddick," the animated movie "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury" and now, this latest picture. Frankly, it's ridic-ulous that the original films spawned a franchise, but clearly Vin Diesel has loyal fans and an audience is hungering for these sci-fi films to continue.

This writer's only seen "Pitch Black," and while it was decent, my interest dropped off with the mentions of sequels that seem just fan and corporate-driven, but perhaps you disagree (wouldn't be the first time). A new brief teaser has arrived and while nothing's moved here, neither upstairs, downstairs or in the soul, perhaps it's just what the intended audience is after.

Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista co-star and at the helm once more is writer/director David Twohy. "You're not afraid of the dark, are you?" The Universal-distributed series returns on September 6th. Teaser trailer below.
