Amidst the summer blockbuster season this year, there will be alternate options at the arthouse. One of them is "I'm So Excited," the latest from Pedro Almodovar, which looks to be a complete 180 from his chilling "The Skin I Live In." With the movie opening internationally even earlier, the promo materials continue to roll out for this one.
The latest trailer for the comedy hit last week and now we have two appropriately colorful posters for the movie that once again make no secret this is Almodovar returning to straight, absurd comedy, the kind of which marked his early pictures. The illustrated one-sheet puts boozing and sex at the fore, while the more standard poster introduces us to the players on this flight. The film is set on a plane (obvs) with an incident prompting fear and confession among the passengers and crew. And that's all Almodovar will allow for now.
