10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesMarketing and advertising company Trailer Park (via Flicks And Bits) have casually dropped three unused posters for the movie that are pretty solid. The "Rise" motif was used in these final character one sheets, and while "Fear" doesn't seem to have made it out of the idea stage, the more abstract approach is certainly a pretty effective one. All told, it's a pretty interesting look behind the design hood.
"The Dark Knight Rises" lands on DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th. Check out the work below.

It still haunts me how Nolan and his screenwriters foresaw the Occupy Wall Street movement, the Tea Party zeitgeist and its capacity. Bane is the ultimate occupier and his plan to terminate the rich elite of society - the greedy businessmen, the frauds, the yuppies - is part of what makes these Batman flicks so layered. These films reflect on our society without being preachy or politically charged. Can't wait to see what Nolan has instore next!
