10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe "300" sequel, formerly known as "300: Battle Of Artemisia," will now be known as "300: Rise Of An Empire." The thinking behind this one is pretty clear -- we'd wager that Joe Flyover State probably doesn't know what the hell an "artemisia" is, and even from a tagline/design perspective, "artemisia" is probably a pain in the ass to use. That said, you can't get much more generic than 'Rise Of An Empire,' which sounds like about fifteen dozen History Channel documentaries we've seen already.
Directed by Noam Murro and starring Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Callan Mulvey and Jack O'Connell, empires will rise or something on August 2, 2013. [Deadline]
