Actors Will Play Multiple Roles In ProjectTo date, The Wachowskis have never quite lived up to their promise. After a strong debut with lesbian noir "Bound," they reinvented the action movie with "The Matrix," a film as seriously influential as any since "Star Wars" -- hence the slavish copycats that have clogged up sci-fi pictures in the last 10 years. But the sequels were bloated and near-unwatchable, failing to understand what made the first film special, while their only other directorial credit since -- "Speed Racer" -- gave us a giant headache, even if we can sort of understand those who defend it as a piece of pop art.

If you don't know the name Katie Aselton, don't be too worried, but you'll likely be hearing more of it very soon. The actress has knocked around the indie world notably in the films of her husband Mark Duplass, and she was also a regular on the series "The League." But she took a big step with her directorial debut "The Freebie" last year, a comedy starring herself and Dax Shepherd that was not unlike this year's "Hall Pass" -- at least in its premise -- focusing on a couple who give each other one night off from their relationship. However, for her next gig behind the camera, Aselton is switching up directions big time.

The 20th Century Fox marketing machine keeps churning hard for "X-Men: First Class" with multiple trailers and television spots to the point where we're a bit surprised some superfan hasn't cut together a mega trailer yet with all the footage. But we digress. A new full scene from the film has now landed, and any fears of a leaden tone as evinced by the recent character trailers have been quickly allayed.
