Just as his hero Steven Spielberg has John Williams, writer/producer/director J.J. Abrams has stayed true to composer Michael Giacchino. The man has tuned up every one of Abrams' films to date, in addition to working on shows he's produced like "Lost" and "Alias," and once again, they will put their talents together on another project.

Yeah, we know. Not exactly the most obvious pairing, but since both movies are about war and because we're feeling a bit of Thanksgiving laziness settling in, this is how we're gonna roll on this one okay? Deal. New posters have popped up for the war-centric films "In the Land of Blood and Honey" and "This Means War."

While Bono is off saving the world, selling Blackberrys and buying even more ridiculous sunglasses, drummer Larry Mullen Jr. has been exercising some different creative muscles acting in, producing and composing a remake of Patrice Leconte's comic thriller "The Man On The Train." For real. The flim has actually done the festival circuit already, and is now available on VOD in some theaters around the country. But before you order it up, here's a clip that may sway you decision on whether or not to watch this either way.

When the first tailer for "John Carter" dropped earlier this year, it was undoubtedly wonderful to look at but also kind of enigmatic. For those not familiar with the books, it was hard to glean exactly what was happening or even what the film was about, and anecdotally speaking, when we've seen the trailer in theaters, audiences have seemed a bit puzzled as well. With the release date on the very expensive movie (rumored to be as costly as $300 million) now just a few short months away, the campaign is going to gear up considerably. And this holiday weekend brings us a new look at the movie from EW and it's a bit of spoiler. Sort of.
