It's lesser known that, when not filling his daily machismo quotient filming “Pain and Gain” with Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, Michael Bay prefers to return to his quiet seaside villa, put on his best Robert Evans hat, and produce. If you've sat through any horror remake credits of the past few years, you'll see Bay's had success at it too, but now he's looking to conquer premium cable with a new swashbuckling series in the works.

In just about a week and half, the red carpet will roll out, the tuxedos will be pressed and the dresses be fit as stars, press, film fans and celeb watchers will descend on the south of France for the Cannes Film Festival. Of course, we don't to tell you the lineup is remarkably strong this year and one of the many titles that folks are eagerly anticipating is "Rust And Bone."

With "The Avengers" already in theaters and crushing the box office, and with Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" looking to deliver the epic finale everyone is hoping for, can Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" make it three-for-three? Well, the newest (and, presumably, the last) trailer is here and it's pretty… blah. Sony is going to have to go into overdrive to convince people that it's worth sitting through another two hours of "how Peter Parker got his Spider-Man powers," because, really, this trailer isn't convincing anyone.

Last summer fans of Texas football, and more specifically, the series "Friday Night Lights," got some hope that there was more to come. Peter Berg revealed that he wanted to get a feature film off the ground centered on Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton picking up where the final episode of the show left off and that work was happening to start getting it rolling. And then, where was pretty much radio silence on it, but it seems it's becoming more of a reality.

Damn, Sharlto Copley isn't wasting any time filling up his calendar. Currently off shooting the thriller "Open Grave" and set to team up with Spike Lee this fall for the "Oldboy" remake, it looks like he's going to sandwich a good old-fashioned blockbuster in right between the two.

If there's one guy around Hollywood who has been aching to do a musical or that people have been aching to see in a musical, it's Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Of course, there was the musical sequence in "(500) Days Of Summer" but it was his "Make 'Em Laugh" intro on "Saturday Night Live" a few years back that woke everyone up to the potential he had as a charismatic leading man in a song-and-dance flick. We're a bit surprised it hasn't happened sooner, but it looks like his day is finally coming.

It's been a bounty of news for Robert Pattinson fans over the last 24 hours or so. Late last night the actor signed on Iraq war flick "Mission: Blacklist" and today has seen a plethora of "Cosmopolis" clips land online giving an even greater taste of what he has coming up in his collaboration with David Cronenberg. But he's not done yet.
