Review: 'The Immigrant'After premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie underwent a few tweaks and hit TIFF in a shorter cut. We haven't yet caught the slightly snipped version, so we're not sure how differently it plays from the cut on the Croisette, but we'll find out soon enough. "On The Road" will finally be coming to stateside theaters in a few months, and a few more pics have hit the web of Stewart as Marylou, the young, free spirit who movies between Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) and Sal Paradise (Sam Riley). It's a lively turn by Stewart that will raise some eyebrows and make Mr. Skin types happy, but it provides proof that she's better served by actual dramas than tentpole fare.
"On The Road" co-stars Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard and loads more, and will open in limited release on December 21st. [Kinopoisk]

I can't wait to see this. :) Most of the reviews of her and Garrett's performance have been great. Most reviewers say that Salles' cuts made the movie move faster, like the book. I can't wait to see it January, with the wide release.

I really want Kristen Stewart to succeed because I find her to be an intriguing actress. But I would especially like her career to soar just so that bitter Robert Pattinson fans could shed bitter tears. These female Rob fans who are often mothers and old grandma's with internet access are insufferable.

Even being very fond of Garret Hedlund and Sam Riley, the idea of paying to see a Kstew's film repulses me enough.
