10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAbbie Cornish is the lastest to board the film which, as you might guess, is about the Italian filmmaker, although it takes a rather curious page out of his life. Written and set to be directed by Henry Bromwell, the film will be based on the true story of Federico Fellini's first trip to Los Angeles in 1957 for the Oscars where "Nights Of Cabiria" was nominated, only to disappear for two days before making it to the ceremony. The film will ponder what the director did in that time, blurring the lines between truth, reality and myth. Cornish will play Betty, a veterinarian Fellini meets and falls in love with.
Wagner Moura ("Elite Squad," "Elysium") takes on the lead role with William H. Macy, Terrence Howard, Peter Dinklage and Nina Arianda co-starring. No word yet on when it will lens - presumably Cornish will be working around her duties on "RoboCop" -- but so far, this is shaping up to be rather fascinating look at one of cinema's greatest helmer.
