Even though her political career isn't over yet, with a 2016 Presidential race still a distinct possibility, it looks like the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton is being prepared for some cinematic reflections. Last month, "Smashed" and "The Spectacular Now" director James Ponsoldt signed to direct the Black List approved "Rodham," a biopic focusing on Hillary's student days and her rise into the world of politics. It's some strong material and a good story, and naturally, some big name actresses are already being bandied about to take the lead role.

The thoroughly complete hoodwinking that Noah Baumbach pulled with his shot-on-the-sly Greta Gerwig vehicle, “Frances Ha,” has meant a celebration of the director’s rejuvenated style, and an even more fierce inquiry into what he’s hiding next. Was it beginner's luck, or is Seth MacFarlane the new R-rated comedy king? With his feature directorial debut "Ted" taking over $540 million worldwide last year, it certainly went way above and beyond what anyone was expecting of a movie with a talking, foul-mouthed teddy bear and Mark Wahlberg. And Universal is hoping MacFarlane will do it again with "A Million Ways To Die In The West." The film carries another high-concept premise, except there will be a couple of small changes: MacFarlane himself will take the lead role, and it will boast even more stars than his last effort.

Pretty soon, we're going to have to stop referring to Adam Driver as that guy from "Girls." While, yes, Lena Dunham's show has put him on the broader cultural radar, he's impressed folks like Clint Eastwood ("J. Edgar"), Steven Spielberg ("Lincoln") and the Coen Brothers ("Inside Llewyn Davis") enough to land roles in their films. Another director who has happily utilized is Noah Baumbach, giving the actor a nice supporting role in the filmmaker's utterly charming and completely buoyant "Frances Ha." And now, they're going to work together again.

“Lovelace” has played at both Sundance and Berlin already this year, and it didn’t take The Weinstein Company long to snap up the distribution rights to the Amanda Seyfried-starring film (but we’re still waiting for a release date). That’s a pretty good outcome for directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, and you can fairly confidently predict that it will easily outgross their previous feature, the James Franco starring “Howl,” when it eventually makes its way into theaters. But even before it does, the pair have lined up their next project, and it’s “The Girl Who Conned the Ivy League.”
