SNL Funnyman Says Andy Samberg, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Donald Glover & More Will Star In Film Written By His WifeEXCLUSIVE: We haven't been shy in expressing our infatuation with comedic actress Aubrey Plaza. Though she doesn't have too many notches on her belt, her turns in "Funny People," "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Parks and Recreation" are extremely impressive, displaying a young talent with a knack for comedic timing and wit. Whether it's keeping up with Seth Rogen's deadpan, dry deliveries in Judd Apatow's last picture or actively (and abrasively) berating Michael Cera in Edgar Wright's underrated gem, Plaza did it all effortlessly and showed that she was more than just a one-note actress with a cute face. She's gonna be somebody, she's gonna be a contenda.

Plus Kevin James MMA Flick 'Here Comes The Boom' Lands July 27thWith the Oscars stinking up the joint last night, the awards season is finally over, and we can look forward to the now-six-month-long summer blockbuster season, without the worry of accidentally stumbling across a film with a thought in its head. But the business being what it is i.e. increasingly reliant on release dates before scripts, or a director, or cast is attached, studios are already jostling for dates in 2012, which looks at least as crowded as this year's clusterfuck of a season.

You can say one thing about Adam Sandler -- he looks out after his own kind. Professional relationships between performers who once appeared on "Saturday Night Live" have always bordered on incestuous, but Sandler has pretty much turned it into the basis for his super successful Happy Madison banner, dedicated to giving the non-stars of "SNL" their own shot at fame, whether they deserve it (Dana Carvey) or not (David Spade).

Not so fast. Earlier in the week, The Wrap reported that "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg, "Jackass" co-founder Johnny Knoxville and an Australian comedian named Shane Jacobson were on the shortlist to lead Bobby and Peter Farrelly's long-gestating feature-length version of "The Three Stooges" film now that erstwhile principal leads Sean Penn, Jim Carrey and Benicio del Toro had moved on.

Considering it's supposed to start shooting in about two months, getting a cast together for the long gestating big screen version of "The Three Stooges" might be good idea. By now, its history has been told and re-told, but in short, at one point the project had a trio of high profile stars attached with Sean Penn as Larry, Jim Carrey as Curly and Benicio del Toro as Moe. Alas, the project was set up at MGM whose financial woes are old news by this point, and was eventually moved over to 20th Century Fox where it was given a clean slate and fast tracked with a March 14, 2011 start date penciled in. Well, it looks like the Farrelly Brothers are narrowing down their stooges.
