If you're one of the many who are strongly anticipating "The Dark Knight Rises," you've likely already bought your IMAX ticket, booked the day off work/are planning to call in sick, told your significant other your cellphone will be turned off and you'll be unavailable, circled the date on your calendar, and have been quietly ticking off the days until it hits theaters.

While it might appear that director Jonathan Demme has retreated from the mainstream in recent years, directing a string of documentaries including “Jimmy Carter Man From Plains” and a trio of Neil Young concert films, the director says he’s just been following the projects he finds himself drawn to. “It all depends on what I’m enthusiastic about at the moment, what presents itself,” Demme told The Playlist in an exclusive interview this week. “I love doing fiction. I love doing performance films and I love doing documentaries that don’t have music. I love to shoot and I love to shoot things I’m enthusiastic about.”

It's only been 24 hours since our last bit of info on "The Dark Knight Rises" so don't worry, the movie hasn't been canceled or push back. Phew. Kidding aside, the clock is winding down on the film with just over a month to go before we see Christopher Nolan's epic conclusion to the series -- and at 2 hours and 45 minutes long, he's not kidding.

We're now getting into the final stretch before "The Dark Knight Rises," probably the most anticipated film of a year that's had plenty of hotly anticipated pictures. After a main trailer a month or so back, we got another sneak peek of footage at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, as well as a steady drip of posters and images that have managed to tease without giving away the whole shop.

Well in case you missed it, the first trailer for "Les Miserables" dropped this morning and if anything, it proved that no matter how scrappy the clothes or terrible the haircut, Anne Hathaway can carry a tune. And it looks like she's got another musical project brewing, though it's not a sure thing just yet.

Anne Hathaway is about to have a pretty good few months. The actress has been consistently charming, diverse and impressive on screen, but of late her showcases, from hosting a botched Oscars to films like "Love And Other Drugs" and "One Day," haven't quite worked, even if she's been pretty good in them. But in a couple of months, she's got the plum role of Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises," which is likely to win over the hearts and loins of the geek community.

The movie-musical is a difficult nut to crack. The genre's proven the undoing of great filmmakers like Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, and, in the modern era, for every smash big-screen hit like "Chicago" or "Hairspray," there's a "Nine," a "Phantom of the Opera" or a "Rent" stinking up the joint. But this Christmas' big hope has the kind of pedigree that suggests it's got a better run at Oscar and box-office glory than most.

Sick of "The Dark Knight Rises" and its relatively secret campaign? At least compared to say, Fox's "Prometheus," which seemingly has revealed every secret it has? (Probably not, but it sure feels that way). Well, you shouldn't be. Trust In Nolan (someone should make a T-shirt of that and give me some props).

Ah, character posters. Once an innovative spin on movie marketing, now they're dragged out needlessly for any film on release. Want Jonny Lee Miller in "Dark Shadows" hanging on your wall? Or Alexander Skarsgard in "Battleship?" You got it. We've never seen any evidence of a Tom Wilkinson one-sheet for "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," but we're sure one's out there somewhere.
