Working with a young actor isn't always the easiest thing for established thesps like Ben Kingsley. Younger talent sometimes need more attention, and patience on set, as they are still cultivating the craft that veterans have honed into a finely turned art. But it seems that Kingsley got along smashingly with Asa Butterfield on the set of "Hugo," as he's now lined up a project to work with him again.

As Graham King told us a few days back, casting a Martin Scorsese film is far from the hardest part of the process. With the director's legendary status now cemented by a long-overdue Best Director Oscar for "The Departed" a few years ago, top actors are delighted to line up, even if it's for a brief cameo, in a Scorsese-helmed project. The filmmaker's latest, "Hugo," is no exception. Its young leads, Asa Butterfield and Chloe Grace Moretz, are among the most widely-praised child actors of recent years, and the supporting cast ranges from Oscar-winner Sir Ben Kingsley to comic whirlwind Sacha Baron Cohen, with Jude Law, Emily Mortimer, Ray Winstone, Richard Griffiths, Frances De La Tour, Helen McCrory and Michael Stuhlbarg among the litany of other stars cropping up at some point.

“Ghandi” and “Schindler’s List” thespian Ben Kingsley is no stranger to having his name attached to more than a few projects at a time and with his supporting role in this month’s release of Martin Scorsese’s fairytale “Hugo,” and a plum role in Sacha Baron Cohen's “The Dictator” on the way for next spring, Kingsley is as busy as always. So it should come as no surprise that he's now heading up a pretty impressive cast for the big-screen adaptation of the Henrik Ibsen play “A Doll’s House.”

Filmmaker Introduces Work-In-Progress 3D Film At Surprise New York Film Festival ScreeningWhat else could it have been? When Monday's New York Film Festival "secret" screening was announced last week, speculation went into overdrive. Most missed the fact that the picture would be a 2011 release which greatly narrowed down the field. Clint Eastwood's "J.Edgar"? The NYFF/Eastwood relationship is a close one, but the picture is already promised to the AFI festival in early November. David Fincher's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" was another big theory, but that film's still in the editing room. That left either Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" or one of Steven Spielberg's fall pictures, but considering Scorsese already debuted his George Harrison doc this month, it seemed rather obvious, even before the secret was unveiled this afternoon.

It has been a while since we've seen anything from Martin Scorsese's upcoming 3D family adventure "Hugo." Granted, the director has been busy executive producing "Boardwalk Empire," putting the finishing touches on the massive documentary "George Harrison: Living In The Material World" as well as editing Kenneth Lonergan's "Margaret." However, the first trailer for the film was released in July and is now somewhat of a distant memory, but with the movie gearing up to land next month the marketing campaign is likely just moments away from starting in full swing.

In recent years, we've seen 3D films done by the likes of James Cameron, Michael Bay and botched by others we won't bother naming, but none of us have seen a 3D movie, a family adventure film no less, by Martin Scorsese. And so the trailer for his upcoming film, "Hugo" (formerly known as "Hugo Cabret") has hit and we must say it looks pretty damn wonderful, thrilling and charming (vibrant use of music too, though that doesn't sound like composer Howard Shore's work; he wrote the score).

It looks like funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen and knighted, respected actor Ben Kingsley got along smashingly on the set of Martin Scorsese's "Hugo Cabret" as the duo are set to follow that up with another film together.
