We're surprised it took this long. After the smash success of "Magic Mike" in 2012, we figured Hollywood would be flooding the market with movies featuring buff dudes taking off their shirts. Well, "Magic Mike XXL" is on the way with a director selected to take on the gig, and they'll have some competition around the stripper pole.

Reality Bites
Twenty years ago today, Generation X saw their lives put up on the big screen in Ben Stiller's "Reality Bites" and two decades later, it's still kinda spot on. Yes, it's a pretty reductive and obvious distillation of a certain era, but for everyone who lived through those years, for better or worse, there was something identifiable in the too cool for everyone Troy (Ethan Hawke), the struggling Lelaina (Winona Ryder), her best friend Vickie (Janeane Garafolo), the closeted Sammy (Steve Zahn) and the more successful version of all of them, Michael (Ben Stiller).

Among the many myths that surround Terrence Malick is that he's a big fan of Ben Stiller's "Zoolander." The story goes that he quotes from the movie and watches it regularly, and the reclusive filmmaker also programmed the movie last spring as part of the Philbrook Museum of Art's "Films on the Lawn" series in Tulsa, Oklahoma last spring. But, does Malick really like that film?

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
With Ben Stiller's ambitious, big-budget romance/adventure/fantasy/remake "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" now in theaters, it's kind of curious that one of the central components of the film has gone somewhat undiscussed: Life magazine. The once iconic weekly news magazine was a major force in photojournalism and reporting, bringing Americans images and stories from the around the world they might not have seen elsewhere, all while maintaining a pulse on the culture at home. In the film, the transition from Life from print to digital plays a crucial part, and throughout the movie, viewers are shown artwork from past issues, but here's the thing: they're all fake.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
In a colorless and unremarkable New York apartment, the shy, anonymous Walter Mitty stares at the eHarmony dating page of his co-worker Cheryl (Kristen Wiig). Debating whether or not to make the online first move, Walter eventually daydreams about a spectacular manner in which to impress her. But back in reality, the question remains: can the timid man send the social networking equivalent of a hello to the girl he has a crush on? If he does have the chutzpah to do so, will the complexities of life and fate manage to interfere? Will Walter be able to seize the day and “just do it” like Nike might have asserted him to do a few decades ago?

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
We understand that for overseas audiences, the words "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" probably don't mean much. Even for North American audiences, there is a vague recollection that it was a 1947 movie starring Danny Kaye. So how to solve that knowledge gap? Well, for the folks at Fox India, it means erasing any signs of wonder from the movie if it results in selling tickets.
