American Hustle
The last word we heard on "Indiana Jones 5" wasn't so good, at least for those hoping Disney would crack the whip on a sequel sooner rather than later. In December, studio chairman Alan Horn said quite plainly, "We haven’t done anything. We don’t have a story. We need a story.” But if these latest rumors are right, between then and now, something has changed.

American Hustle
The ballot boxes are now closed on Oscar voting, and the fate of months worth of interviews, photo shoots, promo, publicity and more rest in the hands of those dudes from PricewaterhouseCoopers who oversee the count that determines who gets a shiny new paperweight, and who doesn't. And David O. Russell's "American Hustle" is in the mix in a big way with 10 Oscar nominations. So what can you do until Sunday night?

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper is nominated for a Best Supporting Oscar this year for his work on “American Hustle.” Sometime later this year, he should probably star in “American Sniper,” a project he’s spearheading as producer with Clint Eastwood directing, and there’s one more 'American' film to come.

Guardians Of The Galaxy
The first trailer for "Guardians Of Galaxy" dropped on Monday night, and for the most part, fans were hugely enthusiastic about James Gunn's film, vibing with the winking tone of the superhero flick. But there was one major thing missing from its first promo: voices. Outside of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, we didn't really hear anything out of the rest of the (mostly CGI enhanced) cast. Well, that's about to change.

American Hustle Robert De Niro
"De Niro is extremely meticulous when he's really passionate about something and we had endless conversations," director David O. Russell said last fall at a press conference for "American Hustle." "He loved the fact that this man [Victor Tellegio] spoke Arabic—which happens to be one of the true things in the story. Truth is crazier than fiction, but there was a mobster who spoke Arabic... He was really into meticulously constructing this guy. He wanted to do something he'd never done before." And the result is one of the most memorable moments in the film.

Guardians Of The Galaxy
So, a superhero movie with a raccoon and talking tree among the team, many have said (including us) that "Guardians Of The Galaxy" represents the biggest roll of the dice Marvel has taken to date. Just don't tell that to director James Gunn. "I don't think it's the riskiest Marvel property," he told Total Film. "I think 'Iron Man' was by far the riskiest. It was a film company that didn't have much, raising money to make a film based on a property that wasn't that much more well known than 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' So I think it's not even close to the riskiest Marvel property." Of course, Tony Stark now has three standalone movies to his name and the question is, can 'Guardians' reach that level of success?

American Hustle
Today is what every director, actor, studio executive, PR person, marketing guru and consultant has been building to all awards season long—the start of Oscar voting. But that doesn't mean the campaigns end. Rather, one big push is coming (or has come) and "American Hustle" is being given one last chance to shine.

Oscars: The Best Underrated Performances By The 2014 Acting Noms
With the Oscar nominations out, and the SAGs and Golden Globes a few weeks in the past, we're entering something of a quiet phase in awards season, with the Academy not even due to begin voting for a few weeks yet. So it seems like a good time to look back.

Gravity 12 Years A Slave
For a minute, it looked as if the race might be over. David O. Russell's "American Hustle" (and the way that that phrase rhymes alone makes us glad it's a Best Picture nominee) had the momentum going into the Oscar nominations last week, and had even more after it: ten nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and four acting nods, one in each category, only the second movie to achieve that feat in the last thirty years (Russell's previous film, "Silver Linings Playbook," being the other).
