There is no one who loves to talk about "Army Of Darkness" sequels more than Bruce Campbell, and give him a place to sit and a microphone, he'll gladly discuss plans for more movies. This has been going for years. But in the wake of his latest idle chatter, where he once again suggested a sequel was actually happening, he's had enough. Of course, it's not his fault that these rumors are being spread. Nope, it's the damn internet.

Even though the "Evil Dead" remake was a remorselessly dull and dumb movie, it seems there is a certain faction of people how are still legitimately interested in an "Army Of Darkness" sequel. Lord knows it has been talked about forever, but it seems there is a minor head of steam building around the project.

If you’re a fan of the "Evil Dead" series, you’ll probably want to stop everything that you’re doing right now. Sam Raimi’s 1978 short film “Within the Woods,” the film that inspired “The Evil Dead,” is now available in its entirety via YouTube. Given that all too often the news brings a coal-in-the-stocking present like, well, an "Evil Dead" remake, it’s always a feel-good moment when we are given a gift such as this. While the quality of the short film isn't so hot, fans will get a kick out of seeing Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss, back when they were teenagers, playing early versions of Ash and Cheryl from the 1981 horror cult classic.

Even though Rome Film Festival head Marco Mueller had been promising two surprise additions to his line-up -- strongly hinting toward Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" being one of them -- we're not sure any of these latest additions qualify as left field shockers. But for cinema buffs, they do promise an interesting time as they gear up for a week long run or so of movies.

On Saturday, at New York Comic Con, darkness rolled over the IGN Theater, as a special presentation from next spring's Screen Gems remake of Sam Raimi's immortal horror classic "Evil Dead" was unveiled, including the first-ever screening of footage. In attendance were the remake's director Fede Alvarez, along with the movie's lead, Jane Levy (star of "Suburgatory" on ABC and this month's Halloween feature "Fun Size"). Oh, and there was also this dude named Bruce Campbell. Fans of the franchise might be familiar with him. Starred in the original, produced the remake -- you know the drill.

It’s been a short spell since word on the Sam Raimi-produced “Evil Dead” remake had advanced, as last we heard the cast was finalized and production was ticking away in New Zealand, away from the naysayers’ vitriol. However, while initial fan-rage may have simmered, or been completely forgotten about in the interim, Bruce Campbell ,star of Sam Raimi's original trilogy, recently provided some updates on the remake that attempt to smooth over those qualms completely.

So yesterday brought the first big reveal at Comic-Con, with attendees getting footage from Sam Raimi's "Oz The Great And The Powerful," and the rest of us getting a trailer shortly after the Hall H presentation ended. And the feedback so far? Mixed to say the least. And while the movie is playing off the mythology of L. Frank Baum's "Wizard Of Oz" -- at least far enough away from the original to stay out of legal trouble from MGM -- and as a result, it looks like two familiar characters have been dumped from Raimi's movie in exchange for...some primates.

It's hard to believe that after so much chatter and so many promises, the remake of "The Evil Dead" is actually happening. Indeed, the project is set up at Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, with on-the-rise director Fede Alvarez (“Panic Attack!”) at the helm with none other than Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody doing some final touchups on the script. This won't quite be the 'Evil Dead' we all know and love, rather, something promisingly different, but there will be one very, very familiar chin popping up in what is a pretty no-brainer cameo.

Film Apparently Low-Budget, Sam Raimi Collaborator Bob Murawski InvolvedUpdate: Yes, the new "Evil Dead" movie is really for real this time and Bloody Disgusting has dug up more news on the film, revealing that Fede Alvarez will be directing the film. Who? Well, he made the hyped robot invasion short "Panic Attack!" that nabbed him a deal with Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures back in 2009. Looks like his big moment has arrived. Check out the short film below.

A remake or sequel to Sam Raimi's cult favorite "The Evil Dead" has been knocking around for years now, moving in fits and starts but never really getting anywhere. And while we're probably not much closer to it, fans can't help but ask about the film anytime Bruce Campbell or Raimi hit the press circuit. Back in January, the Guardian reported that Raimi's longtime producing partner Rob Tapert said, "we're looking at a script this month. What's interesting about 'Evil Dead' is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the [movie] theater. I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in grueling terror."
