When it comes to promotion on Sony's remake of "Total Recall," actor Bryan Cranston is either suspiciously absent or only briefly included in the movie's trailers and TV spots. Of course, it seems criminal to keep the man who is Walter White a secret, especially since Cranston is playing the villain Cohaagen, a name famously screamed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Paul Verhoeven's 1990 original. Finally, in the latest clip from the remake, Cranston has his chance to shine.

But there is still going to be some great stuff to watch over the next couple of months on the small screen. This summer sees the return of one the best shows going around as well as a new show from one of the platform's most talented writers. For four seasons straight, creator Vince Gilligan has overseen a near-perfect narrative of suspense and drama in “Breaking Bad,” and it has all been in service of showing Walter White through his inevitable path to darkness. As the series enters its fifth season next month, viewers are ready to finally see that bleak conclusion, but a few choice words from Bryan Cranston recently regarding his character have entertained other potential avenues to come.

Although still reeling from the failed domestic launch of “Battleship,” Universal still believes in the premise of toys-as-movies, and has entered negotiations to acquire the rights to Lego's robotic toy line Hero Factory. The writing duo behind 2010’s “Predators,” Michael Finch and Alex Litvak, will pen the script. [THR]

While many fans will probably just exclaim “Why can’t we just watch it already, Yo!,” patience is certainly a virtue when it comes to the highly anticipated return of the Vince Gilligan-created AMC series “Breaking Bad.” A show that actually needs no introduction at this point, it’s long been rumored that the fifth and final season would be split into two separate halves, much like all young adult adaptations do nowadays in an effort to milk fans' anticipation. And well, looks like that will be the case.

As you know, we love Bryan Cranston, but even he's gotta sleep sometime. The hard-working actor has already appeared in two movies so far in 2012 ("Red Tails," "John Carter") and has five more on the way to theaters ("Detachment," "Rock Of Ages," "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted," "Total Recall" and "Argo"). There is no doubt that Cranston is in demand, but while we would've loved to see him work with Alexander Payne, alas, it is not to be.

Ask, and you shall receive. If you build it, they will come. We're sure one of those phrases applies to "Get A Job," the first feature film in a decade from "Rodger Dodger" helmer Dylan Kidd.
